Industrial Production 2003

GCSE Coursework - these are photographs taken of the 2003 projects. A range of materials were used. The students had access to Prodesktop, a laser cutter, CNC machines as well as horizontal and vertical milling machines.

 

	An embossing tool by Glenn Barrett - a highly polished aluminium handle with steel side plates and an aluminium base, The plunger is made using a CNC Boxford lathe. There is also a spring return.
An embossing tool by Jack Garforth - laser cut side plates, an aluminium base and an acrylic handle. A spring returns the horizontal lever.
	An embossing tool by James Staerck - made from acrylic, aluminium and brass. A spring return is used on the linkage.
A toggle clamp by Jane Wyard - made from aluminium, polypropylene and acrylic. The base is laser cut.
	An embossing tool by Kerry O'Connor Laser cut side plates, aluminium base and levers, polypropylene handle.
An embossing tool by Regine Wong - mostly aluminium parts with a spring return.
	An embossing tool by Khaled Hamid - mostly aluminium parts with laser cut acrylic labels concealing the rivets holding the plates together.
An embossing tool by Lee Konig. Highly polished aluminium parts with a laser cut acrylic front piece.
	A toggle clamp by Sarah Driscoll - aluminium base block held onto the red acrylic base with 4mm csk screws. The handle and clamp are polypropylene with a brass plunger. The plunger was designed and made using a Boxford CNC lathe.
A toggle clamp by Rikki Baker - Red acrylic base, aluminium spacer block, polypropylene handle.
	A toggle clamp by Sultan Rajah - mostly mild steel held together with screws and nyloc nuts. The handle is made from red polypropylene.
A clamp by Terry Marsh - this toggle clamp has an acrylic base, an adjustable brass plunger, an aluminium handle and mild steel linkages. Mig welding was used to join the sub bases together.
	An embossing tool by Zak Morris - using a spring return , a brass plunger and acrylic side plates.
