Students will spend thee to four weeks using Prodesktop to generate working and presentation drawings. Basic planning and manufacture. This is the longest part of the coursework and will take many weeks and include after school work as well. |

Individual/small group work with teacher or technician. Using CAD/CAM to produce components is an essential part of the course. |

Final project -Completion |
Final completion of product - assembling component parts. Sanding. Applying final finish. Detailed planning and correction of errors. Evaluation and testing. Completion of design folder against project guide, checklist and feedback sheet. |

Examination preparation |
Using past papers. The website, textbooks. Teacher led revision including demonstrations – looking at exemplars, techniques of manufacturing and material properties. The department website contains revision information and quizzes to support effective study and revision. |
